Sakinah Iman Smith

Founder & Managing Director

Sakinah Iman Smith is an award-winning filmmaker, actress, educator, communication strategist, and wellness professional whose career spans media production, live performance, public speaking, health education, and leadership development.

Her work has earned more than 25 international awards and has been featured at over 70 film festivals worldwide. Her spoken word film He Wants To Know My Number was licensed across major streaming and television platforms, including Paramount+, SHOWTIME, Hulu, Apple TV, Prime Video, and Sling TV.

A graduate of the University at Albany Honors College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Rhetoric with a concentration in Health Communication and graduated Summa Cum Laude, Sakinah has spent more than 15 years helping audiences connect through storytelling, communication, performance, education, and wellness.

Through FYHA LLC, she brings these disciplines together to help organizations strengthen communication, elevate leadership, improve engagement, and create meaningful impact.
